Subject:

Salem Generating Station - Unit 1 Docket No. 50-272 License Change Request S04-07 On February 23, 2005 PSEG Nuclear LLC (PSEG) submitted the subject change request to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC): The proposed change would replace the steam generator (SG) detailed programmatic requirements contained in the Technical Specifications (TS) with a SG Tube Integrity TS and Bases, revise the TS for reactor coolant system (RCS)

Operational Leakage, and add a SG Program and SG Tube Inspection Report.

The original submittal incorporated Technical Specification Task Force (TSTF) 449 revision 3 requirements. Revision 4 to TSTF-449 was published in the Federal Register on March 2, 2005.

On August 2, 2005 PSEG submitted to the NRC a supplement to License Change Request S04-07 incorporating TSTF-449 revision 4 and clarifying some elements of the previous submittal.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Nuclear Engineering reviewed the supplement in accordance with the requirements of 1 0 CFR 50.91 (b). We have no comments.
