Robinson CY2004 Assessment Results
- Performance was within the Licensee Response Column of the NRCs Action Matrix for the first three quarters
- Performance was within the Regulatory Response Column in the fourth quarter
- One Performance Indicator was classified in the fourth quarter as requiring additional NRC oversight (White)
- All inspection findings were classified as very low safety significance (Green)
White Performance Indicator
- Reactor coolant system identified-leakage PI crossed the Green/White threshold in the fourth quarter
- A relatively large (7gpm) valve packing leak occurred on October 12, 2004
- Unit was expeditiously shutdown and valve was repaired
- Supplemental inspection indicated corrective action was adequate
Robinson Annual Assessment Summary
- Progress Energy operated Robinson in a manner that preserved public health and safety
- All cornerstone objectives were met
- NRC plans baseline inspections at Robinson for the remainder of CY 2005
