FOR END-OF-CYCLE PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT FOR WATERFORD STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNIT 3 Dear Mr. Venable This refers to the Category 1 public meeting conducted at the St. Charles Parish Courthouse in Hahnville, Louisiana, on March 30, 2005. The meeting attendance list and a copy of the slides presented during the meeting are enclosed.

Waterford-3 Assessment Results (Jan 1 - Dec 31,2004)
- The plant operated within the Regulatory Response Column of the NRCs Action Matrix due to one White finding associated with Emergency Diesel Generator maintenance.
A Supplemental Inspection was performed during September 2004, to review the corrective actions associated with the White finding.
All Performance Indicators were Green.
Safety Significant Finding (Jan 1 - Dec 31,2004)
In May 2003, the licensee failed to establish adequate instructions for the installation of a fuel oil line on the Train A Emergency Diesel Generat0r.A The fuel oil line subsequently failed on September 29,2003, rendering the diesel generator inoperable.
On September 27,2004, the NRC completed a supplemental inmection to review the corrective action associated with the fuel line failure.
