AmerGen Notification of Deferral of the Commitment to Submit License Amendment Request Incorporating Alternative Radiological Source Terms

Exelon/AmerGen 180-Day Response To NRC Generic Letter 2003-01, Control Room Habitability, dated December 9, 2003 In the response to the NRC Generic Letter 2003-01, Control Room Habitability, dated December 9,2003, AmerGen Energy Company, LLC (AmerGen) committed to submit a license amendment request to revise the Oyster Creek Generating Station (Oyster Creek) licensing basis to incorporate alternative radiological source terms. AmerGen committed to submitting this license amendment request by December 31, 2004.
AmerGen will submit the license amendment request incorporating alternative radiological source terms for Oyster Creek by March 31, 2005. This additional time is needed to complete the alternative source term design basis accident analyses in accordance with NRC Regulatory Guide 1.I 83. The alternative radiological source term implementation will support revised Oyster Creek control room habitability radiological dose consequence analysis.
