1/5/2003 1146 1/512003 1146 064-03 P36-2 EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION RCP 1-2 Motor tripped Instantaneously while performing bump start DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION and PROBABLE CAUSE (if known) Summarize any attachments. Identify what, when, where, why, how.

0 Bump started RCP 1-2. Received annunciator 8-2-B, RCP 1-2 Motor Trouble/Trip. RCP 1-2 tripped R instantaneously. Field report indicates the trip occurred on relay 87, Motor Differential.

i HBO3 tripped open upon closing. The following targets were in on HBO3: 50/51A Target and o Longtime, 50/51C Target and Longtime, and Differrential Current 87M1A-B-C N The Inrush startup amps peaked at approximately 1800 amps.

RCP 1-2 Motor did rotate in the proper rotation. The shaft coasted to a stop 2 minutes after the trip signal.
