SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - RE: WITHDRAWAL OF REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF PROPOSED CORPORATE RESTRUCTURING (TAC NOS. MC2880 AND MC2881)
Dear Mr. Sheppard:
By letter dated April 21, 2004, STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) submitted a request for approval of a proposed corporate restructuring. This application, filed pursuant to Section 50.80 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, sought approval of the indirect transfer of control of Facility Operating Licenses Nos. NPF-76 and NPF-80 for South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2, respectively, to the extent held by American Electric Power Texas Central Company. Subsequently, by letter dated September 15, 2004, STPNOC withdrew the request.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above cited application is being treated as withdrawn. A Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Register.
