Byrne to Document Control Desk letter dated August 11, 2004 South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) hereby submits the additional information for Items 5 A, B and C and 8A for the Physical Security Plan and the Safeguards Contingency Plan for the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station (VCSNS) submitted in response to the April 29, 2003 Security Orders. The request for additional information (RAI) was received in a letter from the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation dated July 23, 2004 (TAC No. MC2976). In a letter to your office dated August 11,2004, VCSNS submitted a response to the RAI with the exception of Items 5A, B and C and 8A. Per a discussion with the office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation on August 11, 2004, the response to the additional items was extended to August 13, 2004.
