SNM-2502 SUBMITTAL OF REVISION 19 TO THE INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT Ladies and Gentlemen:
In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 72.70, Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc., also known as Carolina Power and Light Company, is submitting Revision 19 to the Safety Analysis Report (SAR) for the H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant (HBRSEP), Unit No. 2, Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI).
The enclosed CD-ROM contains the entire SAR. The pages that have been revised since the previous submittal are indicated as Revision 19 in file 001-ISAR-EPL.pdf on the CD-ROM and at the bottom of each revised page. There were no changes to the physical design or design analyses of the facility. The changes did not require an evaluation in accordance with 10 CFR 72.48.
Additional CD-ROM copies of the SAR are being provided to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Region II Administrator, the HBRSEP, Unit No. 2, NRC Project Manager, the HBRSEP, Unit No. 2, NRC Resident Inspector, and the NRC Project Manager for the HBRSEP, Unit No. 2, ISFSI license renewal application dated February 27, 2004.
Attachment I provides an Affirmation as required by 10 CFR 72.70(c)(4)(i).
Attachment II provides a listing and description of the files on the enclosed CD-ROM.
