WATTS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 1 - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST (TAC NO. MB6971)
Dear Mr. Scalice:
By letter dated December 13, 2002, you applied for an amendment to the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN), Unit 1, Facility Operating License No. NPF-90. The proposed amendment would have revised the WBN Unit 1, Technical Specifications to add two new sections, 3.7.16 Shutdown Board Room (SDBR) Air Conditioning System (ACS), and 3.7.17, Elevation 772.0 480 Volt Board Room Air Conditioning (AC) systems. Subsequently, by letter dated April 30, 2004, you withdrew the amendment request.
The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

7590-01-P UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY DOCKET NO. 50-390 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the request of Tennessee Valley Authority (the licensee) to withdraw its December 13, 2002, application for proposed amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-90 for the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN), Unit 1, located in Rhea County, Tennessee.
The proposed amendment would have revised the WBN Unit 1, Technical Specifications to add two new sections, 3.7.16, Shutdown Board Room (SDBR) Air Conditioning System (ACS), and 3.7.17, Elevation 772.0 480 Volt Board Room Air Conditioning (AC) systems.
The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on March 18, 2003 (68 FR 12958).
However, by letter dated April 30, 2004, the licensee withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment dated December 13, 2002, and the licensee's letter dated April 30, 2004, which withdrew the application for license amendment.
