December 13, 2002.
The referenced letter submitted a proposed license amendment request to change the Technical Specifications (TS) for WBN Unit 1.
The amendment would have added two new TS sections to address postulated out-of-service conditions for safety-related air conditioning (A/C) systems associated with WBN Shutdown Board Rooms and 480 Volt Board Rooms.
In discussions with NRC staff, TVA was informed that additional compensatory measures appeared necessary to address multiple A/C trains concurrently out of service.
TVA understands NRC's comments and may choose to pursue this approach at a later date.
Accordingly, the referenced license amendment request is hereby withdrawn.
There are no regulatory commitments associated with this submittal.
