In the letter dated December 5, 2003, and identified by serial number PE&RAS03-102, Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc., and Progress Energy Florida, Inc., submitted a relief request in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(3)(i). Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc., and Progress Energy Florida, Inc., submitted the subject request for relief from ASME Code,Section XI, Appendix VIII, Supplement 10, "Qualification Requirements for Dissimilar Metal Piping Welds" for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Unit Nos. I and 2, the H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit No. 2, the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No. 1, and the Crystal River Nuclear Generating Plant, Unit No. 3. The request should have been made using the licensee names of Carolina Power & Light Company, doing business as Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc. (PEC), and Florida Power Corporation, doing business as Progress Energy Florida, Inc. (PEF). Please accept this amendment to letter PE&RAS03-102 and use the licensee names as corrected herein. Any use of the acronyms PEC and PEF in the subject submittal and this letter should be read as the licensee as described in this paragraph "doing business as" PEC or PEF, respectively.
