Technical Specification Proposed Change No. 262 - Supplement No. 4 Alternative Source Term - Calculations By letter dated July 31, 20031, Vermont Yankee2 (VY) proposed to amend Facility Operating License DPR-28 for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (VYNPS) by incorporating an Alternative Source Term (AST) methodology into the facility's licensing basis. In subsequent correspondence 3, VY provided copies of certain calculations used to support the full-scope application of the AST at VYNPS.
The purpose of this letter is to provide replacements for certain calculations that were submitted with the aforementioned letters:
Attachment I provides a replacement of proprietary calculation PSAT 3019CF.QA.04, "Post LOCA Suppression Pool pH for Vermont Yankee."
This calculation is considered to be proprietary information to Polestar Applied Technology, Inc. in accordance with the Polestar affidavit accompanying the referenced VY letter of October 10, 2003.
- provides a non-proprietary version of calculation PSAT 3019CF.QA.04, "Post LOCA Suppression Pool pH for Vermont Yankee."
- provides a non-proprietary version of calculation PSAT 3019CF.QA.08, "Radiological Evaluation of a DBA-Loss of Coolant Accident." The proprietary version of this calculation was submitted with the referenced VY letter of October 10, 2003.
- provides a non-proprietary version of calculation PSAT 3019CF.QA.09, "Alternative Source Term Impact on NUREG-0737 Equipment Qualification, Vital Area Access, and Areas of Continuous Occupancy." The proprietary version of this calculation was submitted with the referenced VY letter of October 10, 2003.

BVY 03-116 / Page 2 The replacement calculations are being submitted primarily to correct the designation of proprietary information within these documents.
Each of the attached calculations supercedes its corresponding counterpart in its entirety. However, the changes provided herewith do not expand the scope or change the conclusions of the original application for a license amendment, and the determination of no significant hazards consideration is unchanged.
