Manual Actions at Harris Ed, Phil and I talked to Chuck Ogle of Rh1. He described a violation closeout during which the Inspector discovered both A and B train unprotected redundant shutdown components n an alternative shutdown room (its own separate fire area as part of the violation corrective action).
The licensee told Rh1 that in May they had talked to Ed Connell about this and (of course the licensee then said) Mr. Connell said It was OK to have manual actions Instead of barriers In hll.G.2 areas.
Could you please nform all of us as to what actually transpired In your Interactions with the Harris licensee? Chuck needs to decide on calling a conference call with the licensee, HQ and Ril to help them sort out this technical ssue.
