Relief Request - Repair for the CRDM Canopy Seal Weld - Byron/Braidwood Following is the list of questions we would like to discuss with you on the subject relief request.

The submittal states that a post-maintenance pressure test (VT-2) at nominal temperature and pressure will be performed.
- 1. Explain how this will be accomplished with the DRPI stacks in place, providing a sketch if necessary.
- 2. The submittal does not include information on how long the system test will be performed at pressure. Explain the planned procedure for conducting the system pressure test. Discuss which provisions of the ASME Code will be applied for the pressure test.
- 3. If cracking is found, there may be boric acid residue on the area surrounding the canopy seal welds. Explain plans for cleaning the area around the canopy seal welds if boric acid residue is found.
