RE: CHANGES AND CORRECTIONS TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS BASES PAGES (TAC NOS. MB7539 AND MB7540)
Dear Mr. Anderson:
By letter dated January 24, 2003, PSEG Nuclear, LLC (PSEG) provided changes to five Technical Specification (TS) Bases pages for the Salem Nuclear Generating Station (Salem),
Unit Nos. 1 and 2. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has no objection to these changes.
Also, by letter dated March 20, 2003, PSEG identified six additional TS Bases pages that, in this case, needed correction. These pages were submitted on June 28, 2002, as part of an amendment request changing fuel decay time requirements. Due to an oversight, when new information was added to the six TS Bases pages, existing information was inadvertently removed from the revised pages issued with Amendment Nos. 251 (Salem, Unit No. 1) and 232 (Salem, Unit No. 2) on October 10, 2002. As a result, corrected TS Bases pages needed to be reissued.
The enclosed TS Bases pages are being distributed for inclusion in their respective TSs. If you have any questions, please contact me at (301) 415-1324.
