Units 1, 2, and 3 Docket Nos. STN 50-528/529/530 Withdrawal of Request for Relief (Second 10-Year Interval Inservice Testing (IST) Program - Pump Relief Request No. 13)

Pump Relief Request No. 13, submitted to the NRC in the referenced letter, proposed an alternate method for testing High Pressure Safety Injection (HPSI) Pumps when refueling interval design full flow test results are in the code specified alert range.

After re-evaluation of Generic Letter GL 89-04 Position 9, documented in NUREG-1482 Appendix A, it has been determined by Arizona Public Service Company (APS) that NRC approval of Pump Relief Request No. 13 is not necessary. This was discussed in phone conversations with the NRC staff on March 18,-2003 and May 7, 2003. Based on this determination, APS requests the withdrawal of Pump Relief Request No. 13.
