KEWAUNEE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - CORRECTION TO ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT 162 (TAC NO. MB5386)
Dear Mr. Coutu:
On June 28, 2002, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No.
161 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-43 for the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP).
The amendment approved changes to Technical Specifications (TS) 6.3, Plant Staff Qualifications, to change the title of the Superintendent - Plant Radiation Protection to the Radiation Protection Manager.
On September 19, 2002, the NRC issued Amendment No. 162 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-43 for the KNPP. The amendment approved administrative changes to TS Table of Contents, Facility Operating License, Section 1 - Definitions, Section 2 - Safety Limits and Limiting Safety System Settings, Section 5 - Design Features, and Section 6 - Administrative Controls. Specifically, the administrative changes included capitalizing defined words, formatting section titles, renumbering pages and correcting miscellaneous grammar and punctuation errors.
When Amendment No. 162 was issued, the changes associated with Amendment No. 161 were inadvertently omitted. Amendment No. 161 was for KNPP TS 6.3, Plant Staff Qualifications, to change the title of the Superintendent - Plant Radiation Protection to the Radiation Protection Manager.
By letter dated March 21, 2003, you requested the NRC to reissue TS Page 6.3-1 of Amendment No. 162 to incorporate the change related to Amendment No. 161.
