KEWAUNEE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - CORRECTION TO ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT 162 (TAC NO. MB5386)
Dear Mr. Coutu:
On September 19, 2002, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Amendment No. 162 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-43 for the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant. The amendment approved administrative changes to Technical Specification (TS) Table of Contents, Facility Operating License, Section 1 - Definitions, Section 2 - Safety Limits and Limiting Safety System Settings, Section 5 - Design Features, and Section 6 - Administrative Controls. Specifically, the administrative changes included capitalizing defined words, formatting section titles, renumbering pages and correcting miscellaneous grammar and punctuation errors.
Due to an administrative error, page TS 5.3-1 contains a typographical error using the word allow instead of alloy. The error is located in TS 5.3.a, Fuel Assemblies, in the fourth line, second word:...zirconium allow or stainless steel filler rods for fuel rods, in accordance with NRC-approved applications of fuel rod configurations, may be used. The sentence should be corrected with the following:...zirconium alloy or stainless steel filler rods for fuel rods, in accordance with NRC-approved applications of fuel rod configurations, may be used. In addition, due to an administrative error, TS page TS 5.4-1 contains two pen marks that appear as revision bars. These two marks should not be on the page. Enclosed are the corrected pages.
