Dear Mr. Byrne:
By letter dated June 27, 2002, you applied for an amendment to the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Facility Operating License No. NPF-12. The proposed change would have modified the facility technical specifications pertaining to a revision to add an Allowed Outage Time to Table 3.3-3, Engineered Safety Features Actuation System Instrumentation, Action 16.
Subsequently, by letter dated February 25, 2003Property "Letter" (as page type) with input value "RC-03-0040, License Amendment Request LAR 00-0173, Revision to Engineered Safety Feature Actuation System Instrumentation Tables Withdrawal Request & Resubmittal" contains invalid characters or is incomplete and therefore can cause unexpected results during a query or annotation process., you withdrew the amendment request.
The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

7590-01-P UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION SOUTH CAROLINA ELECTRIC & GAS COMPANY DOCKET NO. 50-395 NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the request of South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (the licensee) to withdraw its June 27, 2002, application for proposed amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-12 for the Virgil C.
Summer Nuclear Station, Unit No. 1, located in Fairfield County, South Carolina.
The proposed amendment would have added an Allowed Outage Time to Table 3.3-3, Engineered Safety Features Actuation System Instrumentation, Action 16.
The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on July 23, 2002 (67 FR 48221).
