ER FIGURE 2.2-2 UNITS
- George, One of our supplemental iriformation items was to provide the Units for the fish catch rates portrayed in Figure 2.2-2 of the ER. Both RG&E and DEC data depicted on this graph represent catch per unit effort (CPUE) in terms of the appropriate sampling method for that collection series. In the case of RG&E impingement, the CPUE is the number of fish impinged per 100 million gallons of intake flow. For the DEC data, the CPUE is the number of fish caught per 450 feet of gill net per day
. It should be noted that RG&E normally utilizes a fish rate of fish per billion gallons (F/BG) in its impingement reports, however dividing such rates by ten in this case allowed both RG&E and DEC CPUE data to be represented by the same y-axis scale on the graph shown in Figure 2.2-2.
