SUBJECT:
OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1, 2, AND 3 - LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 3.7.16, CONTROL ROOM AREA COOLING SYSTEM (CRACS) (TAC NOS. MB3820, MB3821, AND MB3822)
Dear Mr. Jones:
By letter dated December 6, 2002, you requested amendments for Oconee Nuclear Station, Units 1, 2, and 3. The proposed amendments would have revised Technical Specification (TS) 3.7.16, Control Room Area Cooling System (CRACS) and would have eliminated the required entry into TS 3.0.3 whenever two trains of CRACS are inoperable.
By letter dated November 26, 2002, you withdrew your request and asked us to clarify our interpretation of TS 3.0.3. Enclosed is a memorandum dated December 11, 1992, Use of Shutdown Times for Corrective Maintenance (TIA 92-08), that clarifies our position on TS 3.0.3.
