NMP QA Topical Report Revision (TAC MB6422 and MB6423)

Our reviewer, K. Naidu, would like to hold a telephone conference with you regarding your proposed revision to the QA Topical Report (QATR). These are the 2 issues he wants to discuss:
(1) In Attachment A, page 1, you stated that "several specific position titles..... have recently changed, independent of the proposed changes herein, which are not reflected in this submittal.
These changes will be submitted to the NRC at a later date.........." We cannot evaluate the request if we do not know the responsibilities of these office bearers.
- 2) In Attachment B, you stated that the ISEG requiements originally in Section 6.2.3 of the NMP2 Tech Specs, were relocated to the QATR as part of the Improved Tech Specs amendment. We will consult NRC records to understand what the relocated requirements were. It is not clear why you need approval after the ISEG requirements in the Tech Specs were transferred to QATR in a previous amendment, and ISEG requirements are not applicable to Unit 1.
This e-mail does not formally request additional information, nor does it formally convey an NRC staff position. Its sole purpose is to prepare you for a phone call during which the issues will be dispositioned.
