September 17, 2002 Mr. Harold W. Keiser Chief Nuclear Officer & President PSEG Nuclear LLC-X04 Post Office Box 236 Hancocks Bridge, NJ 08038

SUBJECT:

HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION, CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NO. 139 (TAC NO. MB4685)

Dear Mr. Keiser:

On August 13, 2002, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Amendment No. 139 to Facility Operating License NPF-57 for the Hope Creek Generating Station.

The amendment changed the Technical Specifications (TSS) to allow the use of the current pressure-temperature (P-T) limit curves through Cycle 12. The amendment also removed notes from the TSs that stated that the P-T curves were valid for 32 effective full power years.

Inadvertently, the TS pages included in the amendment package were the marked-up version instead of the camera-ready copies. Enclosed please find the appropriate pages.

Sincerely,

/RA/
