PUBLIC MEETING SUMMARIES - BROWNS FERRY UNIT 1 RESTART PROJECT AND THE SCHEDULE FOR MAJOR MILESTONES - BROWNS FERRY DOCKET NO. 50-259
Dear Mr. Scalice:
This refers to the two meetings conducted at your request at the Region II Office in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 7, 2002. The first meetings purpose was to discuss the Browns Ferry Unit 1 Restart Project. Enclosure 1 contains a list of attendees and Enclosure 2 is the presentation handout. Discussions during this management meeting included the following topics: Browns Ferry regulatory history, scope of work required for unit 1 restart, and the regulatory framework plans for restart. The second meeting discussed the Unit 1 schedule for completing engineering/design change packages (civil, electrical and mechanical) and the implementation of modifications for the purpose of planning regional base inspections. contains a list of attendees. Both meetings were informative and did not result in specific action items or decisions.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
