CORRECTION LETTER TO VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 RE: ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS (TAC NOS. MB3568 AND MB3569)
Dear Mr. Beasley:
On August 9, 2002, the Commission issued Amendment No. 127 to Facility Operating License NPF-68 and Amendment No. 105 to Facility Operating License NPF-81 for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2. The amendments consist of changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) in response to your application dated October 30, 2001, as supplemented by letters dated February 11 and May 27, 2002. The amendments revise the current TSs for Vogtle to place a cooldown clamp on the Overtemperature Delta Temperature (OTDT) reactor trip function.
However, page 2, paragraph 3 of the license for both units was issued with a 30-day implementation date, but should have read, for Unit 1, implemented prior to startup following the Unit 1 Fall 2003 refueling outage, and for Unit 2, implemented prior to startup following Unit 2 Fall 2002 refueling outage. A copy of the corrected pages are enclosed.

Southern Nuclear shall operate the facility in accordance with the Technical Specifications and the Environmental Protection Plan.
