CHANGES TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS BASES, INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NO. 2 (TAC NO. MB4468)
Dear Mr. Kansler:
In a letter dated March 28, 2002, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO), provided to the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) changes to certain Technical Specifications (TSs)
Bases sections for Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit No. 2. Specifically, ENO provided changes to the Bases for TS 2.2, Safety Limit: Reactor Coolant System Pressure, TS 3.7, Auxiliary Electrical Systems, and TS 3.10, Control Rod and Power Distribution Limits. In its March 28 letter, ENO stated that the TS pages superseded the pages that were originally provided by ENO letter dated March 1, 2002. ENO also stated that the changes were processed in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.59.
The NRC staff has reviewed the TS Bases changes and has no objection to the changes. The enclosed TSs pages are being distributed for inclusion in the IP2 TSs.
