Additional Information - Technical Specification Change Request No. 294 Cycle-Specific Safety Limit MCPR (TAC No. MB2891)
Oyster Creek Generating Station (Oyster Creek)
Facility Operating License No. DPR-16 NRC Docket No. 50-219 This letter confirms the additional information as discussed in a conference call with NRC technical staff on March 28, 2002.
Technical Specification Change Request No. 294 to delete the cycle-specific footnote for the Safety Limit Minimum Critical Power Ratio (SLMCPR) will apply to the next operating cycle (Cycle 19). A separate Technical Specification Change Request submittal will be provided if a change is required for the Cycle 19 SLMCPR value. The Cycle 19 SLMCPR analysis will be based on the original GETAB approach as referenced in GESTAR HI. Oyster Creek is currently operating with GE9 fuel. Cycle 19 will be introducing GEl 1 fuel and Oyster Creek has no plans to operate Cycle 19 with GEl4 fuel.
