OPPD Response to NRC RAI Regarding Request for Work Hours Exemption, dated January 23 , 2013 (ML13101A004) (LlC-13-0007)

SUBJECT:

OPPD Commitment to NRC Regarding Request for Work Hours Exemption On May 16, 2013, a teleconference between representatives of the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) and Nuclear Reactor Reg ulation (NRR) staff was held to discuss the status of OPPD's request for exemption (Reference 2) from requirements of 10 CFR 26.205(d)(7). In Reference 3, the NRC requested additional information regarding Reference 2 and OPPD responded in Reference 4.

OPPD requests that the exemption be effective on June 10, 2013. As a one-time regulatory commitment to ensure that fatigue is managed appropriately, OPPD will ensure that no individual covered by 10 CFR 26.4(a)(1) through (a)(5) works more than 50 hours5.787037e-4 days <br />0.0139 hours <br />8.267196e-5 weeks <br />1.9025e-5 months <br /> per week averaged over the two-week period prior to the effective date of the exemption.
