Dear Mr. Rouse:
In the reference letter we identified our plans to relocate the shipping / receiving facility at our IIematite facility.
These plans include the removal of Building 251 and portions of Building 250, and use of the newly constructed warehouse facility', Bulding 256. The purpose of this letter is to transmit the license amendment request which identifies the portions of License SNM-33 which are affected by this facility change. The Enclosures to this letter provide the affected license pages.
At this time, we wish to clarify that the new shipping / receiving facility, Building 256, will be utilized as a storage facility as well.
We will continue to exercise the same radiological, criticality, and security controls which were utilized for activities licensed for the Building 251 facility.
A check in the amount of $150.00 to cover the license change application fee, required by 10CFR 170.31 will be forwarded under separate cover to the License Fee Management Branch.

1.7 Authorized Activities Receive, possess, use and transfer Special Nuclear Material under Part 70 of the Regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in order to manufacture nucicar reactor fuel utilizing low-enriched uranium (up to 5.0 weight percent in the Asotope U-235).
Receive, passess, use and transfer Source Matetial under Part 40 of the Regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Souren materials are used for the same purposes as SNM, and are generally used for start-up testing of a new process. Sealed cobalt-60 sources are used for instrument calibration and terting.

x.215' and is 16' high. The building has concretc flooring, exterior concrete block walls with windows, and a concrete-on-j metal roof. About 6,000 square feet of the area is utilized for uranium recycle and recovery operations with the remainder of the building used for office area, clothing change and locker rooms, showers, maintenance shop, laboratory space, the site i
laundry, and utilities.
The Quality Control Laboratory is located in the southwest corner of Building 240.'
An area of approximately 2,500 square feet it utilized for testing of the chemical and physical properties lof uranium oxide, powders, pellets and other materials.
Building 256 is the warehouse and is used for shipping, receiving, and storage. '" e building is 50' wide x 70' long.
It is a concrete block struct.co wi*'. a concrete floor, and a steel and rubber membrane roof.
1.5 License History License SNM-33 was transfarred to Combustion Engineering from Gulf United Nuclear on August 21, 1974.
It has since been renewed on March 31, 1977 and December 30, 1983 for 5-year periods.
