In December 2012, the Unit 2 Mitigating System Performance Indicator (MSPI) for Emergency Alternating Current (AC) power systems at PINGP changed from green to white.
The NRC requested that Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation, doing business as Xcel Energy (hereafter "NSPM"), provide notification when PINGP is prepared to undergo the supplemental 95001 inspection. In a letter dated November 25, 2013, NSPM notified the NRC that PINGP was ready for the 95001 inspection.
NSPM requests that the NRC postpone the 95001 inspection. This request is being made due to questions regarding corrective action effectiveness. NSPM will advise the NRC in writing when PINGP is ready for the 95001 Supplemental Inspection.
