The seal repair was completed on August 7,
- 1990, but the unit remained off line until August 8, 1990 to repair the RCP heat exchanger control valve.
The Unit was placed on line on August 8,
- 1990, but due to a
30%
Chemistry hold the Unit did not reach 1004 power until August 10/
1990.
Xn accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.6, there were no challenges to the PORVs or safety valves during the report period.

Breen TELEPHONE 407 465-3550 REPORT MONTH AUGUST 1990 On August 8, 1990, Unit 2 reduced power because of vibration in the g9 turbine bearing.
The unit was back up to 1004 power on August 10, 1990, but was down powered again on August 11, 1990, for the same reason.
On August 11, 1990, the unit was manually shut down to repair the PMG exciter on the turbine, the repair work lasted thru August 18, 1990. Then on August 18, 1990, power was reduced due to ASI Control and Turbine Valve Testing.
On August 19, 1990, the unit resumed power operations.
Unit 2 reduced power on August 20,
- 1990, due again to g9 bearing vibration, then was taken off line to repair it.
On August 31,
- 1990, the repairs on the g9 bearing were completed and power escalation began.
In accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.6, there were no challenges to the PORVs or safety valves during the report period.
