SPECIAL REPORT FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IMPAIRMEN'ISREQUIRING NRC NOTIFICATION PURPOSE:
Technical Specification (TS) 3.14.5.b requires the submission of a report to the NRC if a non-functional fire barrier penetration is not returned to a functional status within 7 days.
TS 3.14 also states that certain other conditions require NRC notification. In accordance with the above requirements, this special rcport is.being generated in order to notify the NRC.
EVENT:
See attached list for Fire Protection Impairments (FPI) being reported.
CAUSE AND CORRECI'IVE ACTIONS:
FPI 2970 was issued for a hole in a barrier caused by the removal of an electrical cable.
The remaining impairments were issued for access of hoses to areas where work is being currently being performed.
The plant continues to implement the compensatory measures as applicable.
STATUS UPDATE:
See attached list for Fire Protection Impairmcnts that were previously reported and arc now closed.
