SPECIAL REPORT FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IMPAIRMENTS REQUIRING NRC NOTIFICATION PURPOSE:

Technical Specification (TS) 3.14.5.b requires the submission of a report to the NRC if a non-functional fire barrier penetration is not returned to functional status within 7 days.

TS 3.14 also states that certain other conditions require NRC notification. In accordance with the above requirements, this special report is being generated in order to notify the NRC.

EVENT:

See attached list for Fire Protection Impairments (FPI) being reported..

CAUSE AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS:

FPI's 2919 and 2952 were issued to Mechanical Maintenance for decon work activities.

FPI 2920 was issued to Construction for the installation of conduits.

The remaining impairments were -issued as a result of Fire Protection surveillances currently being performed.

The plant continues to implement the compensatory measures as applicable.

See attached list for Fire Protection Impairments that were previously reported and are now closed.
