St. Lucie Unit 2 Docket No. 50-389 Completion of Plant Modification to Station Air S stem By letter L-84-266 dated September 28, l984, Florida Power 6 Light Company (FPL) requested NRC approval for a change to the station air system which resulted in the replacement of certain containment isolation valves.

By letter L-84-280, dated October l9, l984, FPL proposed a license amendment to reflect this plant change in the St. Lucie Unit 2 Technical Specifications.

By letter dated March 15, l985 (D. E. Sells to J. W. Williams), the NRC issued Amendment No. IO to the St. Lucie Unit 2 Operating

License, No. NPF-I6, which amended the Technical Specifications to reflect the impending implementation of the plant modification to ensure proper valve identification before and after the modification was completed.

In the cover letter to that amendment, the NRC requested that FPL inform the staff upon the completion of the station air system modification and initiate action to revise the Technical Specifications to incorporate the new valve tag numbers and delete the associated footnotes.

This plant modification to the station air system has been implemented.

FPL is currently preparing a License Amendment request to delete the previous valve numbers and replace them in the body of the Technical Specifications with current plant configuration.
