F r SELECT SYSTEM ASSESSMENT JULY 1986 PROGRESS Reconstitution of Design Basis Development, review and concurrence of draf t reconstituted design basis continues on schedule. A total of 24,599 man-hours have been expended on the reconstitution of design basis effort.

Walkdowns Compilation, evaluation and correction to walkdown discrepancies continues. A total of 17,983 man-hours have been expended on the walkdown effort.

Configuration Management Evaluation of procedures and other organizational responsibilities continues. A total of 276 man-hours have been expended on the configuration management effort.

Punch List A total of 33,923 man-hours have been expended on punch list items. Significant items completed during this period by system, are listed below:

o Auxiliary Feedwater System

-Enhanced access to system Instrument Air Valves implemented.

-Installed local flow indication for Standby Steam Generator Feedwater Pump (SSGF WP).

-Revised procedure to minimize potential for steam binding of system pumps.

-Initiated construction on U-3 AFW valve access platform.

-Emergency lighting added.

-Additional system communications implemented.

-AFW stop check valve modifications complete on U-4.

-Steam vent modifications complete.

-Replaced U-4 flow transmitters.

-Initiated engineering efforts on open items where appropriate.

-Evaluated missing specimen canisters for 10 CFR Part 21 reportability.
