1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-335 and 50-389 Generic Letter 80-20 In response to Generic Letter 80-20, Florida Power R Light Company completed a reverification of the environmental qualification documentation required for 10 CFR 50.09 compliance.
As a
result of this reverification, qualification documentation is available for all equipment identified on the 10 CFR 50.09 lists for St. Lucie Units 1 and 2.
For St. Lucie Unit 1, the methodology used for identifying electrical equipment within the scope of 10 CFR 50.09, was presented during a meeting with the NRC on May 8, 1980, submitted to the NRC in a letter dated 3uly 12, 1980 (L-80-162), and approved by the NRC as detailed in an NRC letter dated November 15, 1980.
In that 3uly 12, 1980, letter, 3COs for five solenoid valves, five accelerometers, four pressure transmitters, ten temperature detectors, and four radiation monitors were provided.
All of this equipment has been qualified and there are no outstanding 3COs.
For St. Lucie Unit 2, the 10 CFR 5089 list was submitted to NRC on May 25, 1983 (L-83-329). NRC, in Supplement 0 to the Safety Evaluation Report (NUREG 0803),
concluded that compliance with 10 CFR 50.09 had been demonstrated.
Also, FPL letter L-80-333, dated November 20, 1980, which provided a status of NPF-16 license conditions, stated that all equipment required to be qualified by 10 CFR 50.09 had been qualified.
Regarding environmental qualification of, the instruments required by Regulatory Guide 1.97, FPL submitted Reg. Guide 1.97 Evaluation Reports on November 30, 1983 (L-83-573) for St. Lucie Unit 2, and December 30, 1983 (L-83-605) for St.
Lucie Unit 1.
These reports are currently under NRC review, and any additional instruments required as a result of NRC's review willbe included under the 10 CFR 50.09 program.

FPL reviewed IE Bulletin 82-00, and responded to NRC in FPL letter L-83-102, dated February 28, 1983, for St. Lucie Unit 2 and L-83-103, dated February 28, 1983, for St.
