On February 1,
1979 (L-79-30) Florida Power 8 Light Company notified you that we planned to pursue option (3) of your November 29, 1978 letter, i.e., to justify unlimited purging of containment during operation.
At that time we stated that we would continue our current practice of minimizing the number and duration of purges, and that we had not established an interim limit on purging.
Following discussion with the NRC staff on May 24, 1979 Florida Power
& Light Company agrees to limit containment purging in opera-tional modes 1
and 2 to 90 hour0.00104 days <br />0.025 hours <br />1.488095e-4 weeks <br />3.4245e-5 months <br />s/year.
In addition we agree to expeditiously pursue resolution of the containment purging question.
We will keep you informed of our progress in this area.
