BOX 013100, MIAMI, FLORIDA 33101 gegUlatory Docket @If FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY December 30, 1975 L-75-600 Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation ATTN: Mr. Olan D. Parr, Chief Light Mater Reactors Project Branch 1-3 Division of Project Management U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D. C. 20555

Dear Mr. Parr:

Your letter of November 26, 1975, requested that we address reactor vessel support loading conditions and design capability thereof for St. Lucie Unit No. 2. The St. Lucie Unit No. 2 reactor vessel support system duplicates the design of St. Lucie Unit No. l.

The reactor cavity concrete design for Unit 2 has been modified, however, to provide increased margin fox pressure loadings which are transmitted to the cavity wall. Our letter responding to your November 28 inquiry on St. Lucie 'Unit No. 1 provides a discussion of the St. Lucie 1 design with regard to rea'ction forces, subcompartment'enerated forces, and internally generated hydraulic forces.

Yours very truly, e

Robert ED Uhrig
