Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) letter L-2020-104, dated September 18, 2020, Fifth Ten-Year Inservice Inspection Interval Turkey Point Unit 4 Relief Request No. 7 for Train A and B Component Cooling Water (CCW) Supply and Return Piping NRC's document management system (ADAMS) ML accession numbers: ML20266G309, ML20266G310 In Reference 1, FPL requested relief from the applicable American Society of Mechanical EngineersSection XI Code (ASME Code) requirements to repair certain sections of the degraded Turkey Point Unit 4 Component Cooling Water (CCW) supply and return piping by installing a welded proprietary repair device, PMCap Restoration Method - US Patent 6,860,297 without removing the sections of degraded piping.
The purpose of this letter is to notify NRC that based on the recent Turkey Point Unit 4 field data and examination results relief is no longer required. As such, FPL wishes to withdraw Relief Request No. 7 previously submitted in Reference 1.
