Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 1 and No. 2 BV-1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 BV-2 Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 Order for Interim Safeguards and Security Compensatory Measures On March 15, 2002, the FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) submitted a response (L-02-022) to the NRC Order for Interim Safeguards and Security Compensatory Measures for Beaver Valley Power Station (BVPS) Units 1 & 2 issued on February 25, 2002.
In conjunction with this response, FENOC submitted a request (L-02-030) for an extension of time until June 6, 2002, to submit an answer and request a hearing for Interim Compensatory Measure B.2.a.
Evaluations to determine appropriate actions for compliance with Interim Compensatory Measure B.2.a have been completed for BVPS.
Based on these evaluations, BVPS intends to comply with the requirements of Interim Compensatory Measure B.2.a, as described in the Enclosure to this response.
No request for hearing will be filed by BVPS in regards to this matter. Complete implementation will be achieved no later than August 31, 2002, as required by the Order.
The information contained in the Enclosure to this letter is considered Safeguards Information under the provisions of 10 CFR 73.21, and is thereby exempt from public disclosure.
