Beaumont, Texas 77704 Gentlemen:
This refers to the-inspection conducted by Messrs. L. E. Ellershaw and D. P. Tomlinson of this office during the period April 1-July 9,1985, of activities authorized by NRC Construction Permit CPPR-145 for River Bend Unit 1, and to the discussion of our findings with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included safety-related heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, and verification of as-built structural steel connections. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination.of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
These findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
During this inspection it.was found that' certain activities under your license appeared to be in violation of NRC requirements. The one violation reported in
Paragraph 2 of the enclosed inspection report was identified as a. Severity Level. IV Violation and forwarded to you by our letter dated August 2,1984.
During this inspection, it was determined that corrective actions had been.-
c_ompleted on this violation, therefore, this letter does not require further written response.
