Inspection No 50-336/83-07 This' refers to your letters dated May 9,1983, and July 18, 1983.
The basis for the violation cited in Appendix A to our letter dated April 11, 1983, was that the Radiation Protection Manager at Millstone did not report to a high level of management. Information subsequently made available to the NRC and contained in Administrative Control Procedure ACP-QA-1.02, Revision 14,

effective October 6, 1982, names the Radiological Services Supervisor as the Radiation Protection Manager, and the position reports to the Station Services Superintendent.
Evaluation of the incumbent's credentials. indicates that he is qualified to meet the requirements of Regulatory Guide 1.8, " Personnel Selection and Training."
We understand that a Technical Specification change to reflect the administra-tive procedure will be submitted, accordingly the Notice of Violation is with-drawn and our records will be adjusted.
