Inspection Summary Inspection on December 4-11, 1989 (Report No. 50-331/89032(DRSS))
Areas Inspected:
Security Plan and Procedures; Management Effectiveness; Locks, Keys and Combinations; Physical Barriers - Protected and Vital Areas; Security System Power Supply; Lighting; Compensatory Measures; Assessment Aids, Detection Aids'- Protected and Vital Areas; Alarm Stations; Communications; and a-review of previous inspection findings.
Results:
One. licensee identified violation was. reported-to the NRC as required by 10 CFR 73.71.
The licensee's immediate and long term corrective actions were adequate.. Additional concerns were raised about the adequacy
. of the licensee's compensatory measures and the security management staffing levels.
Although management's attention to safeguards activities is good,
. these~ limited findings represent a mixed level of performance, specifically in the area of implementation of compensatory measures which did not significantly exceed that needed to meet minimal requirements.
