SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT N0. 50-328/84-18 We have concluded our evaluation of your response of October 19, 1984, to our Notice of Violation issued on September 11, 1984, and of unresolved item 50-328/84-18-03, concerning activities conducted at your Sequoyah facility. We will examine the implementation of your corrective actions to Violation 1 during future inspection After a comprehensive review of your denial of Violation 2, we have determined that existing regulatory requirements do not clearly warrant enforcement action in this matter; therefore, we have deleted this violation from our record However, we rema'n concerned that the steam supply transfer feature rendered the turbine driven auxiliary feedwater pump inoperabl In light of this experience, we request that you evaluate the benefit of this design feature to overall plant safety and consider its possible deletio With regard to unresolved item 50-328/84-18-03, concerning the inoperability of main feed pump "A" control ircuitry on June 30, 1984, we have reviewed this matter and Fove concluded that your interpretation of applicable Technical Specifications was correc This unresolved item will be administratively close We appreciate your cooperation in these matter
