Areas Inspected:
Included a review of Management Effectiveness; Security Program Audit; Testing and Maintenance; Physical Barriers - Protected and Vital Areas; Lighting; Assessment Aids; Access Control - Personnel and Packages; Detection Aids - Protected Area; and Alarm Stations.
A review of weaknesses and concerns, which were identified as a result of Region III analysis of previous inspection findings and findings from the Regulatory Effectiveness Review conducted by Headquarters, Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Jurie 1984, was performed.
The inspection involved 34.5 inspector-hours onsite by one NRC inspector.
The inspection began during the day shift.
Results: The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements within 10 of the 11 areas examined during this inspection, except as noted below:

Some alarm station barriers did not offer the required penetration resistance.
In addition there were three open items identified in the areas of Communications Testing, Protected Area Barriers anu Background Screening.
