Olson of your staff at the conclusion of the inspectio Your activities pursuant tc. Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70, "Special Nuclear Material" as they pertain to License No. R-108 were the subject of the inspectia This initial safeguards inspection consisted of a physical inventory and verification, review of special nuclear material records, depletion calculations, interviews with facility personnel and observations by the inspector The records audit covered the period from initial fuel receipt in June, 1967 through March 4, 1976. Your facility is exempt from establishing maintaining, and following written material control and accounting procedures as required by 10 CFR 70.51(c) because authorized possession is less than one effective kilogram of special nuclear materia However, it was discussed, and mutually agreed upon, that some material control and accounting procedures as they pertain to certain 10 CFR 70 requirements, would be initiated to assure adequate material control, accountability and reporting of special nuclear materia No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified within the scope of this inspectio Areas examined during this inspection concern a subject matter which is exempt from disclosure accordir.g to Section
