Dear Mr. Hanson:

On June 9, 2016, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed a security inspection of the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) at the Quad Cities Station (QCS), Cordova, Illinois. The purpose of the inspection was to evaluate whether the protection of the ISFSI was in compliance with the Physical Security Plan (PSP) for the ISFSI, NRC Orders EA-04-184, Interim Safeguards and Security Compensatory Measures (ICMs) for Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, and EA-04-186, Implementation of Additional Security Measures (ASMs) Associated with Access Authorization for Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station. At the conclusion of the on-site inspection on June 9, 2016, the inspector discussed the inspection findings with members of your security and regulatory assurance staff.

The inspection also examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to security for the ISFSI and compliance with the NRCs rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspector reviewed selected procedures and records, observed activities, and interviewed personnel. The enclosed inspection report documents the inspection results. No findings were identified during this inspection.
