Perscns Contacted E. Weeks, Plant Superintendent P. Peterson, Ouality Assurance Supervisor 2.

Insoection of Eouioment and Structures The inspector made a tour of plant facilities for the purpose of observing the effects of the earthquake that occurra<i in the area on November 8, 1980. The earthquake was reported to be between 6.6 to 7.1 on the Richter Scale. The inspector examined the control room including instrument-panels; the refueling building; radwaste facilities; condenser room; turbine and the associated nain steam stoo valve and connecting lines; machine shoos; and other auxiliary structures. During the examination particular emchasis was placed on observing the condition of equipment and Diping sucoorts. flo structural damage was observed by the inspector.

The inspector however, did observe that tools in the nachine shoo had fallen from storage racks, some clean glassware in the chemistry laboratory had been broken and previously painted surface cracks in the concrete walls was evident from separation of the paint over the cracks. This condition was only obser"ed on walls and not in the major concrete support

ections.

In addition to the above the inspector confirmed that the licensee executed the arplicable plant emergency procedures related to the occurrence of e moderate earthquake. Io damage was reported as a result of the licensee inspection efforts. Also, along with liRC experts the licensee planned to have experts examine the plant within the inmediate future.

I!o items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.

3.

Exit Interview At the conclusion of the inspection the inspector met with Messrs. Weeks and Peterson and discussed the inspector's findings. Since no items of noncompliance, deviations, or structural damage were identified, no commitments were made by the license representatives.
