NO, it wont. Delayed neutrons behave as a source themselves. When a subcritical reactor has sufficient reactivity, the delayed neutrons are subcritically multiplied. The large number of generations associated with this multiplication effectively holds up the decay rate. The negative period becomes (-80 seconds.
