This refers to your letter dated May 11, 1983, in response to our letter dated April 27, 1982, and to a subsequent telephone discussion between yourself and Mr. A. Della Ratta of this office on May 6,1983.
Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in your letter. These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed program.
As you explained during the telephone conversation of May 6, 1983, your failure to respond to our Notice of Violation was an oversight caused by an organiza-tional change. To preclude a recurrence of this situation in the future, it is understood that a new Reactor Engineer has been added to your staff and assigned the responsibility for Special Nuclear Material Control and Accounting actions, which would include the assurance of a timely response to NRC corres-pondence. With regard to your proposal to submit your new manual for our review and approval, we will review the manual during our next inspection.
